When Nancy Pelosi took her illegal trip to Syria, why did she wear the symbols of oppression and misogyny?

First of all, it was a perfectly legal trip. Congressional leaders make such trips all the time. Secondly, she didn't wear a burka, which is much more of a symbol of oppression and misogyny. She wore the hajib while visiting a mosque, the same as a man might wear a yarmulke while visiting a synagogue, and the same as Laura Bush and Condoleeza Rice have done. I'm sorry if you don't have common human decency, but I'm glad she does.
