Renaissance Newspaper?????

Well, you could just write them as if they were great new things. For the printing press, for example, you could write something like "thanks to Johannes Gutenberg, we now are able to publish this wonderful paper..." and just go on in that manner. Make sure you have lots of historical detail and just try to have fun with it. Being creative, yet still being as historically accurate as possible shouldn't be too hard if you really try. :)
