What are some baroque, clical, and romantic compositions that are dark and moody?

I've recently began listening to a lot of Vivaldi, Bach, Pergolesi, and Beethoven and I've found that I simply adore dark, emotional, and moody compositions and operas. Stuff like the Stabat Mater's of Vivaldi and Pergolesi, Moonlight Sonata, Bach's Fugue, etc.....what are some other great compositions and operas that are dark and well, emotional?
