Christian friends, has God not accepted sacrifice of humans before?

An omnipotent god, all kind and all loving, yet needs to sacrifice his own son to prove his love to mankind, whereas he could supposedly do all he wants on a snap of his fingers... ain't that a bit pathetic type of logic.
